It is traditional for audience members to offer tips to the belly dancers. These can respectfully be tucked under a strap, into a glove, or a waist band.
Sometimes a tip jar is available.
Some dancers might have to leave for another gig. We all do appreciate being offered food and beverage.
We need enough space to move freely, and to perform with a prop (a veil, a cane or a sword). For outdoor events, we can have a fire finale. Although we try to arrive as stage ready as possible, a private area for last minute touches or costume changes is appreciated.
Cost can vary depending on the number of dancers and the length of the program desired. Generally, there will be three dancers for a one hour show. This can also include encores, a brief lesson, and open dancing for everyone to join in! Base rate is $200, with $250 – $350 recommended. The length of the program and the price are negotiable. (The local “industry”, however, has specific ideas about how much should be paid for the entertainment.)
Yes! Zee Productions can provide dance programs for private parties. We offer Middle Eastern dance programs, Polynesian dance programs, and Showgirl, for a taste of Vegas!
FYI: It is important to remember that the dancers are professionals.
While they may be approachable, they are not “available”.
