ROSIE

I think I first met Rosie in a class with Shayla.  But the first time I saw her perform solo was at Partake Gastropup in Vista a few months ago.  I was impressed by her lovely purple costume and her beautiful dancing.

ANA

Ana is a fusion style belly dancer based in San Diego. From Tribal Style Bellydance, to American Cabaret, Street Jazz, and everything in between, Ana’s mission in dance is to blend styles and express them through music as she hears and feels it in her heart. You can find Ana performing throughout San Diego solo and as part of ROBD Studio Collective.

LORENA

Lorena has been belly dancing since 2019.  She danced continually during the pandemic and lockdown and says that is what kept her sane! As it did for many of us . . . performing in virtual shows live from our living rooms! She has performed with several belly dance troupes in southern California including ROBD, Sands of Arabia, and the San Diego Belly Dance Company. Last fall, she embarked on a trip to visit the land of the pharaohs where she studied the rich culture and history of Egypt.

JENNA

Jenna is an award-winning belly dancer originally from the Bay Area area and now in San Diego. She has been dancing for over a decade but strives to continually learn, study  with Egyptian teachers & study Arabic.

DOROTHEA

Dorothea has loved this dance since the mid-1970s.  She was born in Amsterdam.  Not only is she a lovely dancer, but she is also a violinist.

CHERYL

Cheryl recently returned to dance when she retired from her “day job”.  Many years ago, she danced with troupes around San Diego, at various venues including clubs, festivals, and restaurants.  She recently added Urban Dance classes along with traditional belly dance classes.  She is excited to get back into the dance community and to share her love of dance and music.
